Throwing some ads up and targeting a very BROAD audience is a sure fire way to say BUH BYE to your hard earned moolah.
Did you know it’s better to sell to a specific person on Facebook rather than to try and sell to everyone? This is why it’s important to nail down your ideal customer.
“But, how do I know who my ideal customer is?”
I’m here to help.
You need to create a profile (customer avatar) of who your ideal customer would be. Not just the generic stuff like their age and gender, you’ve gotta go deeper than that.
“What do you mean?”
Here are some sample questions to ask and answer about your audience if you’re feeling stuck:
-
What keeps them up at night?
-
What do they do as a job?
-
What do they do when they’re not at this job?
-
How do they unwind on the weekend?
-
Where do they spend most of their time online?
-
What books are they reading?
-
Who are they following on Facebook? Instagram?
Suddenly, you might have someone who sounds an awful lot like you or the person you USED to be. It really depends on what you are selling and who you are selling it too. Your ability to narrow this down and really focus on who your ideal customer is will truly help you become more successful.
Don’t waste your time OR money on trying to sell to the wrong person online.
